There Wasn't a Healthy Cookie Anywhere
The story begins almost 20 years ago, right when Cael started his coaching career. There was a clear need but no solution on the market — there wasn't a healthy cookie available anywhere. Cael partnered with B.J. Thomas, a chemist and food scientist, who developed the original recipe from scratch. They called it the Undefeated Sport Cookie. The concept was revolutionary and difficult to explain to people.
People were familiar with healthy bars, but the idea of cutting that same nutritious food into a cookie shape was hard for consumers to grasp. As Cael recalls reading, "pioneers get slaughtered" — and that's exactly what it felt like.
None of them compared to our sport cookie. It's not even close.
Two Decades of Belief

Cael partnered with B.J. Thomas — a chemist and food scientist — to create something that didn't exist: a healthy cookie engineered for wrestlers. B.J. developed the original recipe from scratch, dialing in different types of sugars for short and long-range energy, light on the stomach, designed to get into your system fast. They called it the Undefeated Sport Cookie.
Pioneers Get Slaughtered
Everyone who tried it loved it. But explaining a healthy cookie to people who'd never heard of one? That was the uphill battle. People understood healthy bars — but a cookie? It was a hard sell, no matter how good it tasted.
A Hot Commodity
B.J. baking them several states away and shipping them directly to the team. Used strictly after weigh-ins and on competition days. The wrestlers loved them — sometimes customizing them with extra honey or peanut butter.
The Quiet Years
The business died for a little while. People stopped buying them online. But Cael never stopped ordering. Because he and B.J. had built the recipe together, that relationship continued — and B.J. kept making them exclusively for Cael and his kids for over a decade.
The Decision
Watching what his wrestlers eat after weigh-ins on the road "kind of drives me crazy." There are cookies in every gas station now — but none of them compare. It was time to bring it back for his team, his family, and himself.
Cael's Cookie
The Undefeated Sport Cookie is reborn as Cael's Cookie — an Undefeated Sport Nutrition product. A minor recipe reformulation, a full rebrand, and a new team in place to develop, market, and commercialize production. Same soul B.J. and Cael built from day one, now built to scale.
